Rainforest Climate Lesson

This lesson introduces the climate of tropical rainforests and includes:

• Thorough teaching PPT explaining definition of climate, weather and biome and modelling the main activity.
• Engaging ‘create your own weather forecast’ activity with climate tables to support children completing their weather forecasts and two levels of differentiation.
• Whole unit planning.

• Geography
  Describe and understand key aspects of physical geography, including: climate zones, biomes and vegetation belts, rivers,
  mountains, volcanoes and earthquakes, and the water cycle.
• Locate the world’s countries, using maps to focus on Europe (including the location of Russia) and North and South America, concentrating on their environmental regions, key physical and human characteristics, countries, and major cities.
