Year 6 SATs Prep

SATs ready?

If you’re teaching in Year Six, we know this time of year can be stressful. You’re trying to squeeze in as much learning as possible while keeping things calm in your classroom. As a teacher, it can be hard trying to find the time to create or find enough high-quality, engaging resources for your students. Here’s where we can help. We have a whole host of resources available to help fill in the gaps.

SPaG

If it’s spelling or grammar you’re looking for, we have a range of activity bundles for all Upper KS2 grammar objectives. Each bundle contains different activity types including: worksheets, sentence/phrase building cards, passages for highlighting/adding particular grammar features and question cards to allow students to test each other out. Check out each activity bundle to see exactly which activity type is included.

Wanting to make grammar more fun? Our grammar escape room is a great lesson to recap some of the common grammar objectives in an engaging way.

Is it short bursts you’re looking for? Then try our grammar blast bundle. The 35 activities in this bundle are ideal for any short windows of time you’re looking to fill.

Maths

If you’re looking for an engaging Maths lesson or you’re sick of going over past SATs papers then why not try our crack the code or escape room lesson. Students must use their knowledge of the four operations to ‘crack a code’ or ‘escape the room’. A much more fun way to practise these essential skills!

However you’re preparing for SATs, we hope the run up can be as stress-free as possible for you and your students. Before you know it, it will be time for rounders on the field and school play rehearsals!
